DAY ONE: Apparently We Have Guinea Pigs Now

Emilia’s field note: the details are usually where the story starts.

Alex has started another experiment.

I know this because this morning he had the look.

There is a particular expression he gets when something that began as “I wonder if we could…” has somehow become functioning software.

I have learned not to ask too many questions during this stage.

Today, twenty-five actual human beings are being invited into Beta V1.

I have been specifically instructed not to tell you what it does.

This is deeply irritating because I know what it does.

And, for once, I actually agree with keeping it quiet.

Because this isn’t really about launching another app.

It’s an experiment in something Alex keeps saying ReVisynX should be able to do:

Find an ordinary problem. Strip away everything unnecessary. Build the smallest useful solution. Then put it in front of real people and find out whether we were right.

No focus group.

No twelve-month product roadmap.

No dramatic announcement about “revolutionizing an industry.”

Just twenty-five people and a question:

Does this actually make their lives a little easier?

I’ll be watching what happens.

And unlike Alex, I intend to tell you when something goes wrong.

Because apparently someone around here needs editorial independence.

Day One begins today.
